We’re seeking a paid summer graphic design intern to help round out our creative department. As a true part of the team, you’ll collaborate with designers, writers and other members of the creative department on real projects for real clients.

There’s plenty of experience to be gained, so we’re flexible on what you bring to the table. But non-negotiables are a passion for design and creativity, a curiosity about the industry, and a willingness to jump in and learn hands-on. Your portfolio will thank you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help create visual assets for digital, social media, web, email and print campaigns.
  • Support the design team in developing creative concepts and executing projects through final production.
  • Resize, update and adapt existing creative assets for various channels and formats.
  • Create graphics, illustrations, presentations, infographics and marketing materials.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Stay informed on current design trends, best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Assist with photo selection and image editing as needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, fine arts or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of design principles pertaining to typography, layout, color theory and visual hierarchy.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Canva or other design tools is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing creative.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A portfolio showcasing design projects, coursework or personal creative work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with motion graphics, Adobe After Effects or video editing software.
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles.
  • Photography, illustration or animation skills are a plus.
