Wilmington, DE – Aloysius Butler & Clark, a full-service marketing communications firm, has named David Brond as its new Vice President/Director of Account Services, effective June 15. He succeeds Michael Gallagher, who retires this month after 27 years at the agency. In this post, Brond will be responsible for overseeing and strategically guiding all of AB&C’s client relationships.

Brond has more than 25 years of experience as a strategic communications and marketing leader in a variety of industries, most notably health care and higher education. His most recent appointment was as Vice President for Strategic Communications and External Relations at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President for Communications and Marketing at Georgia Regents University and Georgia Regents Health System, as well as Professor of Business at the Hull College of Business, Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Georgia. From 2008 to 2012, Brond was Vice President for Communications and Marketing at the University of Delaware in Newark. In addition, he has held a variety of management positions with the University of Maryland Medical System, KPMG Peat Marwick, GBMC Healthcare and Ernst & Young.

Brond received both an MBA and M.H.A. from Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
