David Brond, David C. McBride, Randy Farmer and Tom Trezise join Delaware’s only public media news service.

WILMINGTON, Del. (June 12, 2018) — Delaware Public Media (DPM) announced that David Brond, David C. McBride, Randy Farmer and Tom Trezise have been named to the organization’s board of directors. DPM, Delaware’s only public media news service, is dedicated to covering the unique issues, events, personalities and cultures of Delaware. As an NPR member station, DPM presents high-quality statewide news in a rich combination of audio, video and text.

“I am thrilled to welcome our new board members, who bring a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to Delaware Public Media, as we continue to provide the First State with unparalleled news coverage and NPR programming,” said Jane Vincent, president of DPM.

David Brond is vice president and director of account services at Aloysius Butler & Clark (AB&C), a full-service marketing communications agency headquartered in Wilmington. Adweek recently selected the agency as one of its 50 “Top Shops” in the nation. Brond is responsible for overseeing all client relationships to develop, grow and achieve effective outcomes for current accounts, and guide new business development activities.

Brond joined AB&C after serving as vice president of strategic communications and external relations at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to that, he served as vice president of communications and marketing at Augusta University (formerly Georgia Regents University and Georgia Regents Health System). His previous appointments include serving as vice president of communications and marketing at the University of Delaware, and as vice president of marketing and strategic planning at the University of Maryland Medical System. Brond earned an MBA and MHA from Duke University, and a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University.

Brond also serves on the boards for the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, Teach For America-Delaware and United Way of Delaware, and is the vice president of marketing on the executive board of the Del-Mar-Va Council for the Boy Scouts of America.

David C. McBride is a partner in the law firm of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP. McBride represents both defendants and plaintiffs in areas of corporate law and corporate and commercial litigation. He also represents corporate clients in mergers and acquisition litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery and counsels boards and stockholders in transactions and proxy contests.

McBride is a fellow of the American College of Governance Counsel and has been named to Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Chancery and Corporate M&A every year since 2006.

McBride earned his JD from the Emory University School of Law and his BSFC from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.

Randy Farmer is chief operating officer of the Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN). In that role, he is responsible for all customer-facing aspects of the organization, specifically in the areas of new business strategies, marketing, product development, member engagement and customer service.

Farmer joined DHIN after a decade at JPMorgan Chase in Wilmington, where he served most recently as senior segment manager of strategic partnerships. He also served as senior communication and public affairs manager during his 10 years at Chase. Prior to working in financial services, Farmer served as the director of student development at Villanova University.

Farmer earned a Master of Science in human organization science at Villanova. He also earned a Master of Education in higher education administration and a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Delaware.

Tom Trezise is a lead on the United Nations Task Force for Health Data and a fellow and the acting president of the Health Studies Collegium, which is a clinical research and health policy institute. He is an executive ambassador of Thomas Jefferson University and Medical School and Jefferson Health System, and was previously vice president of the Board for Senior Services in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also held executive positions with AT&T, the DuPont Company and the Computer Sciences Corporation.

Trezise’s training and experience have been in dealing with large, complex global problems to develop long-term sustainable solutions, understanding potential future developments and then determining a systemic view of actions from a global to local perspective.

Trezise is on the executive committee of the Delaware Health Information Network board (appointed by the governor) and chairs the Strategic Business Planning Committee. He’s also on the Dean’s Council for the Management School of Lancaster University and University Foundation Board, Lancaster University, in the United Kingdom.
